Wow! After a year of working on the Panthers on the Prowl Campaign we had a “Reveal” party for 65 of the panthers. To have 65 panthers in one room, each unique, each with its own story of support, care, artistic expression, and journey was POWERFUL and MOVING! This campaign is more than fundraising for critical lifesaving dollars…this day proved how united we are, how similar we feel and how strong we become in the weakest moments, like going through a cancer journey or caring for someone with cancer. I’m so proud of the work we do at the American Cancer Society. We could not be more grateful to Bill Zito and Julie Tabloff Zito for leading this campaign and the Florida Panthers and their amazing team especially Adelyn Biedenbach and Juliana David for giving 110% to making this campaign a success!! Today I began my role as the CEO of the American Cancer Society and American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN). The mission of the American Cancer Society is to improve the lives of people with #cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer. I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off this moment than at the Baltimore Hope Lodge, where I had the great opportunity to meet with ACS Chief Patient Officer Arif Kamal MD, MBA, MHS and staff and volunteers, visit with guests, and learn more about this vital program. The ACS team impressed me with their passion and real time focus on patient outcomes, and I look forward to seeing the new and expanded Baltimore lodge in 2026. Thank you to the many donors and sponsors who make these programs and this growth possible. To the more than 3,000 ACS teammates, our 1M+ volunteers, and many supporters: our journey continues with the strong commitment to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. And thank you to Dr. Wayne Frederick for his impactful leadership, vision, and empathy during his time as interim CEO. I’m honored to follow in his footsteps.

A packed house, big smiles, and a night full of laughter and connection - huge thanks to Kevin Scroggins and the amazing team at USI Insurance Services for bringing the energy to Hope Lodge Houston last night! From the delicious dinner to the fun and games, their team created such a special experience for our guests. These moments of joy are a bright spot during a difficult time for cancer patients and their caregivers, and we’re so grateful for their continued partnership and compassion. Love seeing all the Vikings fans stop by our Sun Safety sunscreen booth at the Minnesota Vikings training camp! Great to see people taking our Defender quiz, developed with the NFL and Sleep Number Corporation to check what screenings they may need, watching everyone keep their skin protected, and taking some fun photos! We’re so grateful to the National Football League (NFL) for their ongoing partnership with the American Cancer Society and supporting our work to end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
