I över 30 år har Peter Bratt arbetat med industriella gasturbiner. Ett jobb som under GKN Aerospace vingar tagit honom från helikopterfärder i Norge till olivodlingar i Spanien. – Ända sedan jag var pojke har jag varit intresserad av flyg och motorer. På GKN Aerospace har jag funnit en plats där jag får arbeta med det jag älskar och med omtänksamma kamrater, säger Peter Bratt, montör på GKN Aerospace Sveriges avdelning Repair Solutions. Industriella gasturbiner är avancerade maskiner som omvandlar energin i bränsle till mekaniskt arbete, ofta för att generera elektricitet eller driva kompressorer i industriella processer. De används bland annat inom kraftverk och oljeindustrin. Eller inom flyget. En jetmotor, såsom RM12-motorn som sitter i JAS 39 Gripen och där GKN Aerospace ansvarar för hela motorsystemets funktion, är en typ av gasturbin. – Jag har alltid varit intresserad av flyg, och det var där jag började min resa i början på 90-talet.
