With all of the talk around AI, we are focused on narrowing the "data divide" - a serious and growing gap between the "data haves" and the "data have nots." Having the knowledge and know-how to effectively use data can make all the difference when it comes to economic mobility and financial health. For the past decade, the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth has been focused on driving financial inclusion around the world. We know that when everyone has access to financial and digital tools, it opens the door to economic opportunities and possibilities. That's why I'm proud to announce the launch of the Global Financial Health Coalition—a diverse network of financial institutions, NGOs, telcos, wallet providers and industry leaders, including DANA Indonesia, GCash, MoMo from MTN, AXIAN Group, FOCUSONE Payment Solutions (MOCO), Banco Davivienda and Center for Financial Inclusion (CFI) at Accion, committed to advancing financial inclusion. At the 2025 ASEAN Inclusive Growth Summit (#AIGS25) in October, members of the Coalition came together to share insights that move individuals and small businesses beyond financial access, toward lasting financial health. While digital solutions and tools have expanded access to financial services, 2.1 billion people remain underbanked or unbanked—and many still lack the tools and knowledge to achieve sustainable financial wellbeing.   The Coalition will foster discussions about empowering people and small businesses to thrive, withstanding economic shocks, and building brighter futures.
