  •  🌍 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀: 𝗕𝟮𝟬 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀   4 September 2025 marked a pivotal milestone in the 𝗕𝟮𝟬 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮 process, as business leaders officially gathered in Sandton, Johannesburg to present the B20 recommendations to the G20 South Africa Presidency.   The Business 20 (B20) is the official G20 dialogue forum with the global business community. As one of the most influential G20 Engagement Groups, it brings together business leaders from G20 member countries and beyond to shape global economic priorities.   B20 Sherpa Cas Coovadia opened the event, highlighting the collective work of the eight Task Forces. He shared “Our region boasts some of the world’s fastest-growing economies, a demographic dividend with youth constituting the majority of our population, and the raw materials to power a green industrial revolution.”   ENGIE was honoured to contribute to this historic process as a member of the 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗠𝗶𝘅 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲, chaired by Daniel Mminele, Chairman, Nedbank Group Ltd and co-chaired by Jean-Pierre Clamadieu, Chairman, ENGIE Group.   In the final Task Force paper, Jean-Pierre Clamadieu emphasised “Achieving net-zero emissions is more than ever necessary as the effects of climate change intensify worldwide. We must use all available methods at our disposal to transition to sustainable energy: from enhanced global collaboration that supports the development of renewable power sources, gases, grids, energy efficiency, and flexible solutions, to new regulatory frameworks with appropriate policies and financing models.”   The Task Force’s recommendations underscore the need for a fair and inclusive global energy transition, with priorities including:   ⚡ Scaling transition finance ⚡ Localising clean energy manufacturing ⚡ Building skills for future energy jobs ⚡ Investing in resilient grids and infrastructure   The final B20 Papers were officially presented by B20 Co-Chair Mxolisi Mgojo and received on behalf of the G20 South Africa Presidency by Honourable Minister Ronald Ozzy Lamola. This moment represents the business community’s critical input into the G20 process - ensuring that global economic priorities on trade, digitalisation, sustainability, energy, employment, integrity, food security, and financing growth are reflected in the global agenda. 🌱 At ENGIE, we are proud to have played a role in shaping this historic dialogue and contributing to a more sustainable and inclusive energy future.   #B20SouthAfrica #EnergyTransition #Sustainability #ENGIE

  • 🔊 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 Hot on the heels of reaching 1 000 000 hours without a lost-time injury, our Graspan site has now achieved another remarkable milestone: #Energisation⚡ This step brings us even closer to the completion of ENGIE's Graspan and Grootspruit Solar PV plants - projects that will collectively: 🌍 Cut South Africa’s greenhouse gas emissions by 100 000 tons of CO₂ every year 🏡 Power the equivalent of 80 000 households with renewable electricity A massive thank you to Mohammed Shiraaz Jogee; Lucky Nhlanhla Gama, as well as the entire teams at Aurex Constructors and Ablon Construction, and our partner Pele Green Energy. Your dedication, expertise, and collaboration have made this achievement possible. • 🌍 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫, 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 At ENGIE South Africa, we believe energy is about more than power generation - it’s about energising lives and empowering communities. That’s why it was such an honour for our Avon & Dedisa Peaking Power Plant to celebrate the launch of the #Trek4Mandela Coffee Table Book launch. This project is a powerful reminder that climbing Kilimanjaro isn’t just about reaching the summit, it’s about lifting others along the way🪜. Through the #Caring4Girls programme, proudly supported by Avon and Dedisa alongside our valued partners at the Imbumba Foundation Trust, we continue to restore dignity, open doors, and break down barriers for vulnerable communities. The inspiring story of Niroshma Chetty - from her roots in KZN to the CEO of instrumental peaking power plants - echoes the message that true success is a collective climb, fuelled by resilience, education, and the support of those around us. Because when we climb united, every summit becomes possible. ⛰️💚 #Trek4Mandela #CommunityImpact #AvonandDedisa #ENGIESouthAfrica

  • Healthcare should never be out of reach.👩⚕️ Through the Konkoonsies II Solar mobile healthcare programme in the Khai-ma Local Municipality, Northern Cape, families in remote communities are receiving free access to essential services - from full health assessments to dental and eye screenings. 🩺 Launched in August in partnership with Innovo Mobile Healthcare and now strengthened by the support of Xina Solar One, this 12-month initiative is helping to remove barriers of distance and cost that so often stand in the way of quality care. For ENGIE, renewable energy is only part of the story. Our projects are also about building resilience, supporting wellbeing, and investing in the future of the communities we serve.🤝 Together with our partners, we’re lighting the way toward healthier, stronger communities in Khai-Ma and beyond. 🌍 #withENGIE #RenewablesPower #Healthcare

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗩𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻 𝗗🌞 Yesterday afternoon, ENGIE in South Africa hosted its quarterly townhall meeting, and what a fantastic time it was! These gatherings are always a highlight in our calendars: a chance to hear the latest on our business, share a few laughs, and connect with colleagues across the board. Our Country CEO, Mo Hoosen walked us through the business priorities for the months ahead, while we also received insightful updates on our GET programme from Mohammed Benabdallah,  Vincent Nouaille, and Andrew Carey CA(SA) . Libby Hirshon gave us a brilliant unpacking of the important work our ESG department does 🌱, and of course, no townhall would be complete without a vital conversation on #safety and #ethics. The ever-energetic Kelly Davids-Phillips masterfully MC'd the event bringing purpose and passion to every moment and reminded us of the power of living the #OneENGIE culture! This time, we even added a healthy dose of vitamin D🌞 - stepping outside to enjoy a wonderful afternoon of delicious food, meaningful connections and great conversation. Here’s to many more opportunities to learn, laugh, and grow together at ENGIE! 💙⚡

#Safety is, and will always remain, the cornerstone of everything we do at ENGIE in South Africa. Whether in the office 🏢, at home 🏡, or onsite 🏗️, our commitment is simple yet profound: 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘂𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 - not only for ourselves, but for our loved ones too❤️. In that spirit, we are exceptionally proud to celebrate a remarkable milestone at our soon-to-be fully operational Graspan site: 𝟭 𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗷𝘂𝗿𝘆 (𝗟𝗧𝗜) 🎉. To put this into perspective, in 1 000 000 hours you could: 🌍 Walk around the world almost 50 times. 🚀 Fly to the moon and back over 1 000 times. 🎬 Watch The Lion King more than 450 000 times. 🤝 Or simply, give each of South Africa’s 60 million people 1 minute of your undivided attention. Instead, these hours were invested in building something safer, stronger, and more sustainable – and for that we deeply appreciative and immensely proud 💪. This milestone is not just a number; it reflects the vigilance 👀, care 💙, and responsibility ✅ lived out daily by our teams. A massive shoutout to Lucky Nhlanhla Gama, our Construction Manager, as well as the entire Aurex Constructors and Ablon Construction teams, and our partner Pele Green Energy for making this achievement possible. Here’s to many more safe working hours ahead - because safety isn’t just what we do; it’s who we are 🔐✨. Mohammed Shiraaz Jogee | Marc Debyser | Pratish Parbhoo | Quade Myers | Mageshan Ramiah
