Être finalistes représentait déjà un bel honneur, puisque ces prix mettent de l’avant le leadership en croissance, en innovation et en rayonnement international. 🏅Vendredi dernier, au gala, entourés de plusieurs PME québécoises particulièrement impressionnantes, nous avons eu la fierté de remporter le prix Coup de Cœur. Last week, Tyto Robotics had the immense honour of being recognized at the Gilles-Demers Awards, organized by Aéro Montréal. During the ceremony, the jury highlighted that Tyto occupies a niche position in the aerospace ecosystem: we focus exclusively on the UAV and eVTOL sectors. Our cutting-edge test equipment supports UAV developers around the world and, today, more than 95% of our sales are international. This is an important achievement for Canadian exports, but it also reveals something significant: Canada’s UAV ecosystem is still emerging. We see this as a tremendous opportunity. Canada already has deep aerospace expertise, remarkable engineering talent, world-class infrastructure, and a rich history of innovation. With targeted investments in a few key areas, we can accelerate our global leadership in UAV technologies: UAV test complexes: expertise and research for better return on investment. (Area X.O and the Unmanned Aerial System Centre of Excellence (UAS CE) are strong examples of what’s possible.) Government investment in UAV R&D: several elements in the recent federal budget point in a promising direction for emerging aerospace technologies. Support for business development within innovative SMEs: we are encouraged to see this objective reflected in the plans for the 2026 CanExport program. Our recent discussion with International Trade Minister Maninder Sidhu P.C., M.P. reinforced our confidence that these priorities are shared.
