Earnings Report 📈 Maple Leaf Foods Inc. rebounded from last year's quarterly deficit with a C$57 million profit in 2025 second quarter earnings. Sales were particularly high for the company's Pork and Chicken businesses, with 10.7% and 8.5% year-over-year increases respectively. Maple Leaf attributed these gains to a rise in the number of hogs processed and higher average hog weights as well as an improved channel mix tied to changes in retail and foodservice volume growth. Maple Leaf also provided an update on its new pork business, Canada Packers, which has already been approved by shareholders as a spin-off.
