Sometimes, alignment happens away from the desk! Last week, the Kyan Health team took a few days away and met in Mallorca. Stepping away from day-to-day work created the opportunity to slow down and have thoughtful conversations about where the company is headed and what it takes to continue growing in 2026. Moments by the sea, walks through Palma, and a visit to the Cathedral of Mallorca made the time together even more memorable (and fun)! We’re grateful for each other and the reminder of why we build together in the first place.💪 A few moments from the offsite below. 📸

Trillions are lost globally every year due to poor employee mental health. Yet, most companies still don’t measure it. Our new eBook gives you exactly what's been missing: a crisp 𝟱-𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱 + 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 to understand the real cost of mental health in your organization. If you’re in HR or HSE, share this with your CFO or finance team. It’s the kind of clarity every organization needs right now. 🔗 𝘦𝘉𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴.

How do you increase the uptake of your mental health program? Offer support that speaks your team's language. In today's workplaces, most teams are multilingual, multicultural, and shaped by experiences from every corner of the world. And yet, when it comes to mental health support, language is often an overlooked barrier. At Kyan Health, we've worked intentionally to change that. Through our mental health system, employees can choose from a carefully vetted network of licensed psychologists & ICF-certified coaches who support over 50 languages across a wide range of evidence-based modalities. 👉 Middle managers are the real make-or-break factor in any mental health program. Since they're closest to daily team dynamics, they spot rising workloads, tension, and early burnout before anyone else. You can have a strong employee mental health strategy on paper, but if middle managers aren't equipped to apply it in real situations, the program won't gain traction or reach the people who need it. If you're managing your organization's mental health program, here's how to help them put it into practice effectively: • 𝗦𝗲𝘁 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀. Explain what "supporting employee wellbeing" means in everyday situations. Provide concrete examples, sample scripts, and "good vs. great" scenarios so managers know exactly what to expect. • 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝘀. Give them practical tools they can use immediately. Simple checklists, examples of what early warning signs of burnout look like, and short conversation starters. • 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆. An overloaded manager can't support others. Make sure they have manageable workloads and know how to set clear boundaries. • 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 (𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲). Centralize everything: templates, FAQs, key messages, and quick links. Managers communicate more clearly and confidently when information is easily accessible. 💡 Remember: The success of any mental health program relies on the interactions between middle managers and their teams. Last week was a big week for mental wellbeing at On Japan! 👏 We delivered a flagship 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 workshop for the On team, as part of their “𝘉𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘠𝘰𝘶” wellbeing framework. Rooted in On's #AthleteSpirit cultural pillar, the session focused on practical tools and mindset shifts to help team members manage stress with confidence and resilience. With Kyan's Makiko Kuramoto, Ph.D., leading the way, the workshop brought out thoughtful discussions, real insights, and great energy from the group. A special thank-you to On's very own Dr Rachele Airoldi Asturias, Phoenix LI, and Izumi Tagaki, for their trust and championing of mental wellbeing all year round. We're truly excited for everything this partnership will continue to unlock!
