Next-Generation Computing Hardware Featuring Latest Qualcomm Processor Technology & an Array of Operating System Options Offering a combination of elevated operational performance and power efficiency, and thereby being optimised for demanding edge-located application scenarios, Tria has just announced a new series of SMARC format embedded computing modules. As well as featuring advanced Qualcomm Dragonwing processing devices, these items of hardware also support different operating systems. Engineers are thus provided with extra flexibility for their embedded system implementations. The options available include Android, Windows 11 IoT Enterprise and Yocto Linux. Tria also now provides Microsoft Windows with Arm, to facilitate engineers in their efforts to transition from x86-based architectural deployments to ones that have at Arm their foundation. “Our collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies has enabled us to deliver high performance and low power technology with highest quality they are used to receiving from Tria in our new compute modules,” Christian Bauer, Product Marketing Manager at Tria, comments. “This family of modules is the only one available to offer compatibility with multiple operating systems at a competitive price.” “With multi-OS support across Tria’s new modules powered by Qualcomm Dragonwing and Snapdragon platforms, customers gain the flexibility of Windows, Android and Linux across our different platforms,” adds Douglas Vaz Benitez, Senior Director of Business Development at Qualcomm Europe. “Our collaboration with Tria is accelerating industrial innovation - delivering high performance, low power compute and accelerated AI at the edge.” They new modules available are: · Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ-615 processor powered modules, which support Linux. · Qualcomm Dragonwing QCS5430 and QCS6490 processors, with a combination of Linux, Android and Windows 11 IoT Enterprise support offered. · Qualcomm Dragonwing IQ9 series processors, supporting Linux. · Snapdragon X Elite processor, supports Windows 11 IoT Enterprise.
