⚡ Port Esbjerg – Electrifying the Future We are among the frontrunners in the green transition of maritime transport. As part of our electrification strategy, shore power plays a key role. ✅ Why does it matter? When ships are docked, they typically rely on diesel generators for electricity. This creates noise and significant CO₂ emissions. With shore power, vessels can switch off their engines and connect to our grid – powered by certified renewable energy from wind. 📊 Results at Port Esbjerg: In 2025, we have delivered 1,26 million of kWh of shore power to vessels. This equals a CO₂ reduction of hundreds of tonnes compared to diesel generators. Vessels such as the pictured Island Patriot and offshore wind installation ships are already benefiting from green power directly at the quay. 💬 Jesper Bank, CCO at Port Esbjerg, says: "Shore power is not just an investment in technology – it’s an investment in the future of sustainable transport. “We are committed to making a difference.” 👉 Follow our journey towards a CO₂-neutral Port and help spread the message of green energy! #PortEsbjerg#GreenTransition #ShorePower #Electrification #CO2Neutral2030 #Sustainability

There is something symbolic about discussing cross border innovation and collaboration at the top of the BT Tower in London, knowing that Port Esbjerg’s connection to the United Kingdom goes back 150 years. In 1874, Port Esbjerg opened. A year later, the first route to England was established. Soon after came bacon, dairy products and other exports that helped build a strong commercial bridge between Denmark and the UK. These connections have supported trade, fisheries and RoRo traffic for generations. Today, they form a foundation for cross-border energy collaboration in the North Sea. Each year, the route handles more than 100,000 single trailers, making it an important freight link in Northern Europe. This week, our CCO, Jesper Bank, participated in the Maritime Innovation Week in London. He shared his perspective on the need for cross border innovation between ports to develop solutions across borders. During the event, Jesper spoke the UK Minister for Aviation, Maritime and Decarbonisation, Keir Mather, MP. The discussion focused on strengthening cooperation between Denmark and the UK within offshore wind and hydrogen. We believe in scaling this, as there for decades have been a strong collaboration between Immingham/Hull and Port Esbjerg. We also had the chance to sit down with our innovative colleagues from the PIN - Port Innovators Network (PIN) in the panel on “International Innovation and Collaboration in Action”. An inspiring session, where industry colleagues from Opentop_Hub at Fundación Valenciaport, thinkport VIENNA and Port of Tyne demonstrated how ports can accelerate innovation through knowledge-sharing and international partnerships. Maritime Innovation Week left a long-lasting impression: Momentum and the willingness to challenge the status quo are present. Collaboration across borders will be the key for unlocking that potential.

Connecting continents across the Atlantic 🌐 Last week, we welcomed a maritime delegation from North America to Port Esbjerg. The visit was part of a broader exploration of sustainable shipping, port development, and renewable energy production across Denmark - hosted by The Trade Council of Denmark in North America - Energy and Environment. The delegation got to see some of Port Esbjerg's operations and infrastructure - and hear how investments such as the extension of the railway, deepening of the fairway and expansion of the port’s area enable efficient and large-scale shipping operations. As operations scale, integrating sustainable solutions becomes essential. Global collaboration and sharing of knowledge between ports and partners is key to driving sustainability in port operations and the wider shipping industry. With Port Esbjerg’s strategic location as the North Sea’s gateway to Europe and a short deep-sea route to North America, we actively engage with industry peers across the Atlantic to share insights and support scalable, sustainable development in shipping. Thank you to The Trade Council of Denmark in North America - Energy and Environment for hosting the delegation visit.

Port Esbjerg – Gateway to Global Offshore Operations 🌍 After an extended stay at Port Esbjerg, the jack-up rig Noble Highlander – now renamed PV DRILLING IX – has departed for new offshore assignments in Asia. Currently en route to Rotterdam for final preparations, the rig will then embark on a 50–60 day mobilization to Vietnam, where operations are expected to begin in late March or early April 2026. Reactivating and hosting a rig of this scale highlights Port Esbjerg’s strategic position as a global offshore energy hub. With world-class infrastructure and logistics, Esbjerg supports complex energy projects far beyond Denmark’s borders. Capable of operating in water depths up to 129.5 meters and drilling to 9,144 meters, PV DRILLING IX is set to play a key role in strengthening PV Drilling’s presence in Asia and supporting Vietnam’s energy security. Thank you for choosing Esbjerg – and fair winds on your journey to new horizons! 🚢 #PortEsbjerg #OffshoreEnergy #GlobalLogistics #PVDrillingIX #EnergyTransition #MaritimeOperations
