We're proud to share that 522 solar panels have been installed on the roof of the International Passenger Terminal (IPT) in North Shields. Delivered in partnership with AR POWER, the system will generate 261 kWp - enough to support the base load of the IPT. This £170,000 investment is part of the delivery of our Tyne 2050 strategy goal to become a Net Zero Port by 2030. Every installation like this is another step in cutting our carbon footprint, strengthening our energy resilience and supporting a cleaner future for the North East.
