Earlier this month, Patagonia held an intimate evening event to discuss themes in their upcoming Work in Progress Report, which is the most comprehensive view of their business impact they have ever released. Speakers on the panel included Moderator: lucy siegle, along with, Anuradha Chugh, Phil Young, Nina Hajikhanian and Shailja Dubé, Deputy Director of the BFC's Institute of Positive Fashion, who spoke about how change in fashion needs an ecosystem, not a solo effort, while also discussing the importance of ensuring SMEs are part of the transition. Through hands-on support, The Low Carbon Transition programme, developed by the BFC's Institute of Positive Fashion, is actively supporting SMEs to decarbonise their supply chains by implementing low carbon transition plans tailored to each business, enabling them to gain access to the tools and expertise required to measure their emissions and develop a decarbonisation roadmap. We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of designer Pam Hogg, an icon of British fashion design, flourishing in London’s mid-80s post-punk scene. Embracing the bold, championing the underdog and the overlooked, Hogg existed outside her time, refusing to abide by the rules. For almost four decades Hogg blazed a trail, presenting her magnetic collections at London Fashion Week. “The Hogg Family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Pamela. We are grateful in the knowledge that her final hours were peaceful and surrounded by the loving care of cherished friends and family. We wish to thank all the staff of St Joseph’s Hospice, Hackney for the beautiful support they provided for Pamela in her final days.
