Empowering the next generation of women in STEM 👩🔬🧪 Our Mace Consult colleagues in Peru recently took part in "Women Who Inspire, Students Who Transform", an event hosted by Bilateral magazine at the Bicentenario Peru–Canada School in Los Olivos. Team members joined senior high school students to discuss the value of STEM pathways and share personal experiences from across the built environment. The session was supported by Women at Mace (WAM) - Mace’s largest employee resource group, dedicated to creating the conditions for women to succeed, removing barriers to progression and fostering a gender-inclusive workplace. Transforming public health in Peru 🏥   More than 50 years after the devastating Yungay earthquake, a new chapter has begun, a modern hospital has risen on the same landscape – showing what’s possible when collaboration, clarity and purpose come together.   The UK Delivery Team (UKDT) – made up of Mace, Arup and Gleeds – worked closely with Peru’s National Infrastructure Authority (ANIN) to deliver a resilient, high-quality facility that replaces the ageing hospital and strengthens essential care for the region.   Designed around the needs of patients and the community, the new Hospital de Yungay will support more than 50,000 people. It incorporates earthquake-resilient construction, advanced biomedical equipment, a therapeutic healing garden and 33 hospital beds, alongside more than 4,000 medical devices that enable high-quality, reliable care. Major progress at Dubai Exhibition Centre!🎟️ Phase 1 of Dubai World Trade Centre’s AED 10 billion (£2.1 billion) DEC expansion is now in its final stages, with the venue set to debut in early 2026. We’re proud to be providing a range of services including project and design management for this landmark project that will establish DEC as the largest purpose-built indoor exhibitions and events venue in the Middle East. Works have progressed at record pace to deliver 140,000 square metres of event space, including 64,000 square metres of permanent exhibition halls and 30,000 square metres of flexible pavilion areas, integrated with the existing complex to accommodate up to 50,000 visitors per day.
