We were honored to host 47 technology leaders at the 2025 AIAA CTO Summit this week! It was an electric experience exclusively for AIAA Corporate Members, Corporate Partners, and stakeholders.  Their creative collaborative energy was palpable tackling three key topics:  ✨ Overcoming resistance to broad adoption of AI in aerospace  💻 Accelerating the use of the digital thread  ✈️ Scaling autonomy across manufacturing and mission applications Our esteemed guest speakers were on point:  💡 The Honorable Heidi Shyu shared perspectives on the most critical technologies in today’s highly unstable environment. She implored technology leaders to move fast and seed innovation to get the latest technology into the hands of the warfighter faster. Her advice to CTOs – listen appreciatively to your customers, it’s a mindshift that will pay off. 💡 PwC’s Dr. Tim Persons explored the importance of digital thread, emphasizing an interdisciplinary approach. Then he went deep on the potential of quantum computing. His must-have: robust data governance. “Data are everything in this.” We asked this braintrust for their guidance on unlocking the future around key technology areas. And they delivered. 💡 What does it take to run a successful space startup company? We heard directly from startup founders on their origin stories during 2025 ASCEND in Las Vegas. This year’s panel featured unique services in space: software as a service (SaaS), power in space, satellite life extension and disposal, asteroid mining, and robotic satellite assembly on orbit. They agreed, success comes from leveraging agility and their unique value.
