Sean Murphy, Senior VP/GM – Managed Services, had the privilege of introducing keynote speaker Janet Petro, Director of NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Kennedy Space Center, who shared insights into Kennedy’s capabilities, accomplishments, and future outlook. The All Points team was honored to support the 2025 Space and Missile Defense Symposium (SMD), held this week at the Von Braun Center in #HuntsvilleAlabama. As the premier event for the space and missile defense community, SMD 2025 welcomed record-breaking attendance for three days of insightful discussions, collaboration, and innovation. LTG Sean Gainey, Commanding General of USASMDC, opened the symposium with remarks spotlighting the command’s recent successes, advancements in emerging technologies, and the evolving role of AI and robotics in support of the Warfighter. Thank you to the SMD planning team and all involved for hosting such a forward-looking and impactful event. Thank you to the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber's Women’s Business Council (WBC) for hosting this week’s "Leaders in Space & Missile Defense" luncheon. The event featured an inspiring keynote from Virginia W. Perkins, Chief Engineer of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), followed by an insightful panel discussion with defense leaders driving innovation and impact in the defense industry. Panelists included Dr. Angelia Walker – Retired Acting Deputy Director of Engineering and Director of Spacecraft & Vehicle Systems; Sharne Rice, MEng– Deputy Product Manager, Counter UAS, PEO Missiles & Space; and Jami Peyton – CEO of Canvas, who served as moderator. All Points is proud to celebrate team member Bill Overton, who recently received the Space Flight Awareness Honoree Award. This award is one of the highest presented to NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration industry and is presented to employees for their dedication to quality work and flight safety. Bill works in the International Space Station Program Integration Office as the IT Liaison and he also supports the ISS Program Manager LeRoy Cain’s secure video conferences, as well as the Commercial Crew Program with monitoring their meeting communications. Bill received this award for his support during the Starliner CFT mission. He created a downlink from Space Station working with Mission Control at Johnson Space Center to their building in #HoustonTX so the Astronauts could talk with Boeing management and engineers on their outtake of the Starliner launch. In Bill’s previous career, he worked in live broadcast TV as and as a Satellite Uplink Operator. This past holiday weekend, All Points was delighted to sponsor and participate in the Cocoa Beach Centennial Golf Tournament at the beautiful Cocoa Beach Country Club—a highlight of the city’s action-packed 100th anniversary celebration! As the tournament’s beverage cart sponsor, we kept the good vibes (and refreshments) flowing. All Points had two foursomes playing in the tournament. One of our teams, consisting of Phil Monkress, Sean Murphy, Preston Smith, and Parker Smith, earned an impressive 3rd place finish! Our second team, featuring Les Lake, Ed Scarborough, Stephanie Sherby, EdD, and Angela Schwahl, also played a great round. Thanks to the City of #CocoaBeachFlorida and all the organizers for putting together such a memorable event!
