We are super excited about yesterday's grand opening of the new Potter Park Zoo Animal Healthy Facility. It is a unique state of the art veterinary facility that will promote better animal care, zoological education, and conservation. Yesterday was a beautiful day to celebrate the ribbon cutting for the new Potter Park Zoo Animal Health Facility. Potter Park is such a wonderful asset to the Lansing community, and this facility will drastically improve their ability to treat the animals, perform research for future care, and also to inform and educate the patrons and visitors that come to the zoo. The 9,000 sq ft facility brings a treatment room, animal imaging suite, separate sterile surgery suite, and an adjacent laboratory for in house testing. There are windows into the procedure rooms for spectators to observe the care of the beloved animals. Special thanks to fantastic partners Potter Park Zoological Society, FMD Architects, Demaria Building Company, DLZ Corporation, Matrix Consulting Engineers Ltd, and A Thru Z Construction.
