About us

First established in the USA as the North American Transportation Professionals Association in 1987, the International Chinese Transportation Professionals Association (ICTPA) is a nonprofit organization. ICTPA's mission is to promote the professional development of members by fostering fellowship and cooperation among its members and by maintaining a central point of reference and deliberation. In an effort to promote local activities, ICTPA has established seven chapters around the United States and Asia Pacific areas, including Southern California Chapter (SCC), Northern California Chapter (NCC), Washington, DC Chapter, Northeastern United States Chapters and Texas Chapter and Hong Kong chapter.   • The ICTPA - Southern California Chapter 2025 May Virtual Luncheon event was held on May 14, 2025 on Zoom. Close to 50 transportation professionals attended this event. The keynote speaker, Mr. Ben Porritt, Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Brightline West Trains, made a very informative speech to give an update on the Brightline West Project and share valuable experiences from the Brightline Florida Project.   • The ICTPA - Southern California Chapter 2025 Lunar New Year Celebration event was held on February 8, 2025 in Heritage Hall at Ehlers Event Center, Buena Park. Over 60 transportation professionals, students, families and friends attended this event. The keynote speaker, Caltrans District 12 Director Ms. Lan Zhou made an inspiring speech to share her valuable experience on life and career. The evening was also filled with a series of amazing performances including the magic performance, the Chinese folk music and local operas and pop song performances. The half of the revenue from this event was donated to CTF (CALIFORNIA TRANSPORTATION FOUNDATION) Emergency Relief Fund, Los Angeles Metro Fire Assistance Fund and Caltrans District 7 Fire Assistance Fund.
