Earlier this month, the Office of California Governor Gavin Newsom signed Assembly Bill 959 (Hadwick) into law — co-sponsored by the Placer County Office of Education, California County Superintendents and the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA). This important legislation allows county offices of education, like PCOE, to launch internship programs that lead directly to a preliminary administrative credential. It provides more affordable, flexible and community-based pathways for aspiring school leaders. At PCOE, we’ve long prepared the next generation of teachers and administrators. With AB 959, we can further reduce barriers ensuring talented educators can train locally, remain in our community and continue the exceptional tradition of educational excellence that defines Placer County. #GoldinEducation
