For anyone who has lived in Boston, you know how chaotic moving weekend is. It's a true rite of passage, complete with avoiding Storrow Drive at all costs and hunting for "Allston Christmas" treasures. This year, we decided to embrace the chaos and do what we could to make the weekend a little less stressful for everyone on the move. We teamed up with Capo, a local favorite, to give away 250 free pizzas to surprise and delight Bostonians. We also deployed digital billboard trucks with clever, localized messaging to help promote our services and handed out exclusive merch that celebrated the Boston moving experience. Cheers to everyone who made it through the weekend! We were thrilled to be a part of the organized chaos.

Transforming lives, one task at a time.
About us
Taskrabbit is a marketplace platform that conveniently connects people with Taskers to handle everyday home to-do’s, such as furniture assembly, handyman work, moving help, and much more. Acquired by IKEA Group - the world’s largest furniture retailer - in 2017 At Taskrabbit, we want to make your neighborhood a little more familiar. Whether it’s a handyman (or woman!), a housecleaner, moving help or delivery person, we’re imagining a world where everyone will have a go-to team to make everyday life easier. As a company we celebrate innovation, inclusion and hard work. As a pioneer of the sharing economy, Taskrabbit was founded on the premise of neighbors helping neighbors. Since then, our network has grown to eight countries and 75+ cities, yet our core mission of creating a better everyday life for everyday people has remained the same. Together with IKEA, we’re creating more opportunities for people to earn a consistent, meaningful income on their own terms by building lasting relationships with clients in communities around the world. We are a group of mission-minded people. Our culture is collaborative, pragmatic, and fast-paced. We’re looking for talented, entrepreneurially-minded and data-driven people who also have a passion for helping people do what they love - and have a ton of fun while they’re at it.

Thanks to our Women of Taskrabbit affinity group, we had the pleasure of welcoming molly jong-fast as part of our ongoing Speaker Series. The conversation was a raw and honest deep dive into family chaos, finding your voice, and ultimately, figuring out what "home" really means when everything's changing. A huge thank you to Molly for her candidness, the Women of Taskrabbit for organizing, and to everyone who joined us for the event!

At Taskrabbit, we believe that truly innovative work comes from a well-rested team. That's why we're proud to offer two dedicated "Recharge Weeks" each year, giving our employees time to step away, relax, and come back refreshed. Our summer Recharge Week just wrapped up, and it was incredible to see how our team made the most of their time off! From adventuring outdoors to connecting with loved ones, everyone found their perfect way to recharge. Here's a glimpse into how some of our team members spent their time: Zach F.: Explored North Cascades and Mt. Rainier National Parks, enjoying beautiful sights and abundant wildlife like mountain goats. 🏕️ Bryan B.: Spent his week in the Midwest, where his daughter was a flower girl at a friend's wedding, and enjoyed time with friends and local scenery. 💐 Jessica D.: Relaxed in Big Bear, CA, soaking up beautiful weather and sunsets with her 2-year-old, puppy, and friends. ☀️ Ashley K.: Spent her week in LA and Pasadena meeting family, with a highlight being her first visit to The Huntington Museum and Botanical Gardens. 🌸 Jess M.: Hit the trails at Maroon Bells in Aspen, even spotting some moose during her hike! 🏞️ Sara L.: Enjoyed family time and beach relaxation in Red Bank, NJ, with stunning Manhattan skyline views and dolphins! 🐬

What an incredible week in NYC engaging with our community! 🎉 We flooded Grand Central dressed in gorgeous green shirts to brighten up commuters' days — and give out free stuff! We connected with hundreds of passerbys through a "Spin the Wheel" game, offering fun prizes like gift cards to local restaurants, Taskrabbit merch, and credit. Where should we go next?

I don’t know about you, but I’m still going through all the LocWorld53 presentations! Amazing experience, and a real privilege to be sent all the way to Malmö to talk about localisation, AI, and how we’re handling things at Taskrabbit. 💚 Special thanks to everyone who attended our panel (Honesty is the Best Policy, with Naomi Voet, Adelina Cristovao and Rodrigo Cristina). Despite the newbie’s nerves, I actually did enjoy it and I hope we can all continue that conversation. I’ve loved reading everyone’s post-conference articles - shout out to Steve Maule’s reflections post! Some insights are just as interesting as the sessions themselves… and I’m pleased to see that “flat-earthers of AI” is catching on! 😆 The panel wasn’t long enough to go through every topic planned, so I thought I’d use AI to digest my notes about AI's current limitations for large-scale implementation and the crucial role of linguists in shaping these evolving changes. I'm happy to share the resulting little podcast made with NotebookLM if you’re interested in Globalisation, Localisation and AI at Taskrabbit, and how this connects to our session. Just ask and I'll send it to you 📻 💡Is there anything you’ve already implemented or changed based on what you learned at the conference? One of the things that stuck with me is “We control nothing, but we influence everything” from the session with Brian Klaas. That’s what I keep telling myself and my team! #LocWorld53 #Localisation #Globalisation #AI #Taskrabbit #Language #Tech
