State of Connecticut - Office of the Governor reposted this
🏆 The state's pizza campaign has delivered the biggest year-over-year shift in how Americans perceive Connecticut in state history. A new national survey shows major gains across core attributes, especially compared to a 2021 regional survey that show top associations were "Nothing, Small, Expensive, and Boring." The perception shift didn’t end with opinions. It drove real behavior, from higher Google search interest to spikes in CTvisit.com traffic, longer stays, and a surge of long-distance travelers exploring the Connecticut Pizza Trail. Also, don't forget that New Haven, CT was a top 10 searched global destination, among the likes of Spain, Costa Rica, and India. Pizza may have been the attention-grabber, but the real win was proving that innovative, creative, and surprising storytelling can spark genuine economic impact. By showing off what makes Connecticut distinct — our food, culture, makers, and energy — we opened the door to a national conversation that had been missing for too long.
