The mission of the Urban Land Institute: Shape the future of the built environment for transformative impact in communities worldwide. The ULI Arizona District Council was formed in the early 1980s, as a direct response to the need for educational forums and events at a local level. ULI Arizona has been a statewide convener for dialogue among industry leaders, providing an unbiased and non-partisan exchange of ideas relevant to Arizona communities. ULI Arizona boasts over 1,200 members and has one of the highest member participation rates of any ULI District Council.

From land to energy, water, and heat… Takeaways? -The root of the real estate industry is people; human connection is still paramount -People want options-there isn’t one solution for our needs -Government moving at the speed of business would help make more effective policies that support responsible development in real time -The Valley has been ahead of our needs (water, transportation) for years but that gap is closing fast and the sheer costs of projects needed for growth will inevitably increase costs for all of us

Appreciated the chance to join ULI Arizona and Ten Across at Arizona State University this morning for their “It’s All Connected” program. The discussions were a great reminder of how interconnected our region truly is! In my first few months at the Arizona Industrial Development Authority - Arizona IDA, I’ve noticed just how closely housing, infrastructure, healthcare, and transportation rely on each other, which makes it even more critical that these sectors can access financing tools that keep new development achievable and affordable.
