About us

The Urban Land Institute is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit research and education organization supported by its members. Founded in 1936, ULI now has more than 45,000 members worldwide representing the entire spectrum of land use and real estate development disciplines, working in private enterprises and public service. As the preeminent, multidisciplinary real estate forum, ULI facilitates the open exchange of ideas, information and experience among local, national and international industry leaders and policy makers dedicated to creating better communities. The Michigan District Council of the Urban Land Institute (ULI Michigan) was founded in 1999. Starting with just a few members, ULI Michigan has grown to more than 450 members statewide. The members of ULI Michigan are industry professionals, dedicated to promoting responsible leadership within the real estate and development industry. Our members have backgrounds in a wide range of professions throughout the real estate and development spectrum; developers, architects, lawyers, public officials, academics, and students.
